Welcome to our 2024 Education Programs! We are dedicated to offering educational programs for kids and look forward to offering a fun and terrific growing program for Schools, Scouts, Enrichment, and Charter/Academy programs.  Register today!

School Field Trips

For Students Pre-K – 2nd Grade

Cost: $18 per student

  • Available March 15 to May 3, 2024
  • Offered Monday – Friday
  • 9:00am – 12:30pm
  • Presentation Includes:
    • Planting a Sunflower
    • Composting with worms & recycling
    • Art Project
    • Music
    • Good Bugs or Bad Bugs? You Decide.
    • Learn how to be water wise
    • Tractor Wagon Ride

Investigative Program

For Students Grades 3 – 5

Cost: $18 per student

  • Available March 15 to May 3, 2024
  • Offered Monday – Friday
  • 9:00am – 12:30pm
  • Presentation Includes:
    • Flower dissection
    • Learn about pollination
    • Composting with worms & recycling
    • Students will learn about Good Bugs and Bad Bugs
    • Study plant benefits
    • Learn how to be water wise
    • Tractor Wagon Ride

Academy and Homeschool Program

For Students Grades Pre-K – 2nd Grade

Cost: $18 per student

  • Offered:
    • Monday, March 18 from 9:30am-12:00pm
    • Afternoons are available for groups of 100 or more
  • Presentation Details:
    • Arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time (9:30am or 1:00pm)
    • Upon arrival there will be time for a snack and bathroom break
    • Attend a slide presentation as a group in our barn at 10:00am or 1:30pm about how to grow
    • Create and take home an art project
    • Plant a sunflower to take home
    • Sing and learn songs like “Dirt Made My Lunch”
    • Go through the sweet pea maze and get a passport activity book
    • Enjoy a tractor driven wagon ride

Education Activities

Composting Program

Our composting program teaches students the principles of recycling, using worms as the “world’s greatest recycler.” Each composting session is taught by a Master Composter. Worms are a fun way for kids to learn about recycling and become more aware of the environment.

Bring lunches in a large box labeled with school name, and students can enjoy their lunch in our picnic area.

Santa’s Playground
Students are welcome to play in Santa’s Playground. It’s the home of whimsical playhouses and gigantic mushrooms once part of Santa’s Village in Lake Arrowhead years ago.

find the solution to this one-of-a-kind-maze of fragrant and colorful “old fashioned” sweet pea blossoms!

The Flower Fields is committed to providing children with quality education and we are pleased to introduce the following educational activity sheets. Feel free to download and print any of the sheets in the categories below for students.

In addition, care instructions for the ranunculus or sunflower can be printed and given to students to assist them with growing their own plant.

Groups Arriving by Bus
1 teacher – Free
2 chaperones – Free
(per class of 25 students)

Groups Arriving by Car
1 teacher – Free
1 parent driver – Free
(per 3 students)

A max of 2 chaperones (per class of 25) will be permitted with each class coming by bus.

A max of 7 chaperones (per class of 25) will be permitted with each class coming by carpool.

A maximum of 2 additional chaperones per class must be approved in advance by The Flower Fields. Admissions for additional adult chaperones are $29 each, includes wagon rides, and must be pre-paid through the school (siblings are not allowed)

Payment must be made two weeks prior to educational program for classrooms. No cash for classrooms will be accepted onsite. Season passes, online tickets and discount coupons are not accepted.
